It’s time for post season high school football in Illinois, which means the first round match-ups will be revealed.
“High school football in Illinois is a special tradition,” said Illinois High School Association Executive Director Marty Hickman. “From the unique playoff pairing show, to the state championships, it is a very special time for so many communities."
Comcast SportsNet will be the first media outlet to announce the match-ups for all 256 playoff qualifiers during this year's “IHSA Football Playoff Pairing Release Show,” streaming LIVE online.
The show will be hosted by Comcast SportsNet anchor and reporter Susannah Collins, who is also and Downers Grove North High School alum. Collins will be joined by longtime IHSA TV Network personality Dave Bernhard and Kankakee Daily Journal prep writer and Illinois’ resident high school football bracketologist, Steve Soucie.
The IHSA Football State Championship games will be played on Nov. 23-24 and air on Comcast SportsNet.
