As Bears players and coaches boarded their busses in Green Bay after Sunday's disappointing loss, the team's head coach Matt Nagy was encouraged by what quarterback Mitch Trubisky said to him.
"First thing he said to me on the bus is, 'How can I get better?'" Nagy said during a press conference Monday.
The team lost to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday night, but Nagy said he has faith that the team will learn from the defeat.
"It is not going to be rosy this whole time and we’re not going to lose our confidence at all from this game - I promise it," he said.
Nagy, whose play-calling was questioned after his offense only generated six points in the second half, said that he was pleased with the team’s play in the first quarter, and that they could learn from the experiences of the game.
"We can’t just do it for two quarters, we’ve got to do it for four. And that’s everybody," Nagy said. "We've got to continue to keep it turned up on both sides of the ball."
The Bears scored 10 quick points in the first quarter, with Trubisky rushing for a touchdown and completing his first seven passes, but things dried up from there as they scored just six more points on offense the rest of the way.

"For me, being in a game like that on a Sunday night against a big rival- I like the way our team went," Nagy said, adding, however, "we didn’t finish it."
