Carmelo Anthony Visits With Bulls Brass, Players

Prized free agent gets a warm welcome at the United Center

The Melo has landed.

Prized NBA free agent Carmelo Anthony arrived at the United Center alongside Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau Tuesday, the first day of the free agency period.

Anthony didn't say anything to reporters as he walked in the arena, but the building's facade spoke volumes. The Bulls tricked out the video billboards with pictures of Anthony in a No. 7 Bulls uniform, including a large banner on the front of the stadium pictured next to the NBA championship trophy.

Also spotted entering the UC was Bulls star Joakim Noah. Back in March, Noah was rumored to have pitched Anthony on joining the Bulls, saying if he wanted to win a championship, that he should come to Chicago.

Derrick Rose was also seen leaving the United Center alongside Bulls assistant general manager and former player Randy Brown.

Cameras later captured Anthony, along with Bulls GM Gar Forman, John Paxon, Thibodeau, Noah and Taj Gibson touring the new practice facility across the street from the arena.

The group was later spotted having dinner at the Peninsula Hotel in the evening, along with former Bulls star Scottie Pippen.

The Bulls have the flexibility to make a major move, but they also have a big question mark hovering given Rose's recent injuries.

Anthony is believed to be planning to visit Houston and Dallas on Wednesday, and the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday.

Kevin Love is also said to possibly be on the Bulls radar.
