Chicago Bulls' Rajon Rondo Suspended for 1 Game for ‘Conduct Detrimental to the Team'

The Bulls said Rondo will serve the one-game suspension Monday night

Chicago Bulls guard Rajon Rondo has been suspended for one game for "conduct detrimental to the team," the Bulls announced Monday.

The Bulls said Rondo will serve the one-game suspension Monday night as Chicago hosts the Portland Trail Blazers.

Rondo was signed to the team this summer in a deal that reportedly will pay him $28 million over the two-year contract.

The deal included a “mutual buyout” option before the second year, according to reports.

Rondo, who spent the first nine seasons of his career with the Boston Celtics, played the 2015-16 season with the Sacramento Kings.

He averaged 11.9 points and 11.7 assists per game with the Kings, and although he often clashed with management, he still had one of the most productive seasons of his career.
