Mesa, AZ (Sports Network) - Andres Blanco and Sam Fuld both stroked a solo homer to lead the Cubs past the Mariners, 8-1, in spring training action.
Koyie Hill, Reed Johnson and Mike Fontenot each drove in a run for the Cubs. Sean Marshall got the win by going 4 1/3 frames and surrendering just an unearned run on three hits.
Prentice Redman went 1-for-3 and scored the lone run for the M's. Gaby Hernandez took the loss after giving up four runs on four hits in four innings of work.
