2015 Chicago Marathon Expo Begins at McCormick Place

Runners must pick up participant packets themselves either Friday or Saturday at McCormick Place.

McCormick Place will be a packed place Friday and Saturday as runners participating in Sunday's Bank of America Chicago Marathon flock to the facility for the Abbott Health & Fitness Expo.

The two-day event features more than 200 exhibitors offering the newest designs in running footwear, apparel and accessories, as well as the latest developments in sports, technology, fitness and nutrition.

It's also where thousands of runners will pick up their participant packets for the big race.

All runners are required to collect their packets themselves by presenting their packet pick-up ticket or email along with a photo ID.. In previous years, the packets containing a numbered bib, gear check tag, timing device,  shirt could be picked up by a friend or family member.

The expo runs Friday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at McCormick Place Convention Center's North Building, Hall B at 2301 S. Prairie Ave.

Sunday, Oct. 11: NBC Chicago broadcasts the 2015 Bank of America Chicago Marathon. NBCChicago.com will offer a livestream beginning at 7 a.m. CT.
