Cubs Propose Wrigley Renovations

Upgrades planned for inside and outside the stadium

The Chicago Cubs are not only trying to improve the product on the field -- they're working on the field itself.

According to DNAinfo.com, the team met with a neighborhood group this week to discuss some of the potential upgrades for the Wrigley Field and the area surrounding it.

The plans include upgrades to the dugouts and locker rooms, plus more bathrooms and concession areas inside the stadium.

Changes outside the gates could include a hotel -- potentially where the McDonald's on Clark Street is currently located -- space for farmer's markets and outdoor movies, and a bigger ice rink.

The plans are not final, but officials said renovations would be phased in over four years.

More details of the proposal will be released later this month.
