A day after Michelle Obama’s passion wowed Democrats on the opening night of the party's national convention, Joe Biden drew on a collection of his party’s most experienced leaders, highlighting what he sees as a global leadership deficit that threatens U.S. national security.
Biden also formally picked up the party's nomination. In addition, Jill Biden introduced herself to the nation for the first time as the prospective first lady.
"We just need leadership worthy of our nation, worthy of you, honest leadership to bring us back together," she said.
