Roland Keeps Rolling

You'd almost think he's running a statewide campaign.

Roland Burris continues to play make-believe.

Like pretending that he's a real United States senator.

Take the latest news coming out of Camp Burris: He's opening a new office in Carbondale. The ribbon-cutting (yes, there will be a ribbon-cutting) is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Friday. Followed by a three-hour open house.

Huh? Isn't his term, like, up soon?

According to AP, Burris says the new office will give southern Illinoisans a better chance to, you know, weigh in with him on the issues.

Like what he's going to do when he loses his job next year?

The Carbondale office will be Burris's fourth.

You'd almost think he's running a statewide campaign.

Or maybe he just wants to add another line to his tombstone: First lame duck U.S. Senator to open a Carbondale office.

He'll even have the ribbon to prove it.
