Illinois Races: Kathleen Thomas for U.S. Senate

"The people decide, not the dollar"

Kathleen Thomas is running for U.S. Senate as a member of the Republican party.  The pro-life conservative who formerly taught at a community college is currently a historical researcher at the Illinois Historic Preservation Agency.  As a self-professed "citizen legislator," the Springfield resident advocates for secure borders, a strong national defense, healthcare cost reform, local job creation and the Second Amendment. She strongly opposes the Cap and Trade program for carbon emissions.

"I feel that the politicians in Washington are going astray from the constitution, they're not listening to their constituents, they're not taking their constituents seriously, not all of them, but some of them, so I'm running to offer the voters something truly different in the state of Illinois," Thomas said.

Thomas holds a Bachelor's Degree in English and Educational Psychology, a Master's in clinical Psychology and a Ph.D. in Humanities.
