State Police Troopers Will Help With Motorcade Support

Illinois State Police will assist with security during next month's NATO summit convening foreign leaders in Chicago.

Chicago Police Department spokeswoman Melissa Stratton tells the Chicago Sun-Times (http://bit.ly/JkNJAB ) that the number of state police troopers is evolving. She says that the agency is helping with motorcade support and supplying other personnel.

The Illinois National Guard will also be used in helping transport foreign leaders around Chicago.

The summit will be held at McCormick Place on May 20 and 21.
