Karen A. Yarbrough has been a state representative since 2001. After earning a master's degree in Inner City Studies from Chicago State University she went to work at the Maywood Chamber of Commerce where she rose to the position of president.
Yarbrough is the founder and CEO of Hathaway Insurance Agency, where she has worked for thirty years.
