UPDATE: First Lady Attends Chicago Bill-Signing Event, Fundraisers

First Lady Michelle Obama will be Glee-fully dancing her way around Chicago Tuesday as she hosts two fundraisers downtown, including one co-hosted by TV star Jane Lynch.

The First Lady is set to appear June 26 at an 11 a.m. luncheon co-hosted by the popular "Glee" star and Dolton native at Fulton’s on the River, at 315 N. La Salle St.

Tickets range from $250 to $5,000 for the soire. The event is expected to generate support from the LGBT community.

Lynch, a suburban Dolton native, has been a vocal supporter of Obama, narrating a campaign video in which the president expresses support for LGBT rights. Obama is the first sitting president to express support for same-sex marriage.

The First Lady is then scheduled to make her way over to Venue One,1044 W. Randolph St., at 3 p.m. for a “Gen44."

The “Gen44” event tickets are meant to draw in the younger, less economically stable crowd by offering tickets starting at $44, according to Chicago Sun-Times columnist Lynn Sweet. Similar to the luncheon though, those tickets can extend up $5,000 for a photo op with the First Lady. Some tickets are available online for those wishing to attend the Tuesday event.
