Usher Will Sing in Chinese During Asia Show

Fans of Usher may be surprised to hear something quite new from the singer.

The hip-hop artist  will be singing in Chinese during his first-ever concert in China at the Wukesong Arena on Sunday, The Associated Press reported. He is scheduled to perform a song by Asian pop star Wang Lihong. Both Usher and Lihong will duet on the former’s hit song “OMG.”

"I wanted to make a great impression, so I wanted to do something very special," Usher said at a joint press conference. "After hearing (Wang's) music, I wanted to collaborate with him."

Usher said that the reason he came to China was because of the audience. He described the Asian audience as respectful and quiet as opposed to an American crowd that likes to sing loud with the performer.

In other Usher news, the singer will release “Versus,” a collection of eight new songs that is a sequel to his previous album “Raymond vs. Raymond,” on Aug. 24. The new single off it is “DJ’s Got Us Fallin’ in Love” featuring Pitbull.
