Jack Jordan, 39, was arrested in Maryland just before Thanksgiving for violating an order of protection Thurman has against him, law enforcement sources said. They said Jordan tried to contact the 40-year-old actress Oct. 29, calling her office in New York and demanding to speak to her.
A day later, according to cops, he called Thurman's cell phone, which her assistant answered, and told her Thurman's Swiss businessman boyfriend, Arpad Busson, was "not good enough" and "she should marry me."
Once he was arrested, Jordan flipped out during an extradition hearing in Maryland and is now being held for observation for 30 days, according to the New York Post.
Jordan was convicted of stalking and harassing Thurman in 2008 and given five years' probation. At trial, Thurman testified that Jordan, a schizophrenic, emailed her constantly and threatened to commit suicide if she dated other men.Selected Reading
