“Twilight” Stars Surprise Fans with Breakfast at Comic Con

Look, you can't expect to process footage of a vampire fetus clawing its way out of the womb only to be claimed as the soulmate of a werewolf 20 years her senior before the cord is even cut on an empty stomach, can you?

Which is why the cast of "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 1" (Are you happy with what you've done to titles, George Lucas?) showed up this morning to surprise fans who had been camped out at San Diego Comic Con for days.

Nikki Reed, Ashley Greene, Elizabeth Reaser, Boo Boo Stewart (a real actor, not Kristen's wacky alter ego), and Julia Jones visited "Camp Breaking Dawn" - the nickname the fans gave their impromptu commune outside the San Diego Convention Center - armed with apples, bananas, muffins, and water. The cast members answered questions and posed for photos with the groggy but elated crowd.

The cast were in town to participate in the "Twilight" Comic Con panel, where footage from the new movie (and possibly Part 2) will be screened for the first time.

Reaser, according to an Entertainment Weekly report, summed up her firsthand look at the Twilight fan commitment.

This is the whole reason for coming to Comic-Con.”

Later, at the movie's panel discussion, New York Magazine reports that the usually recalcitrant Kristen Stewart was "spirited and talkative," happily answering the crowd's questions. She even helped out Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner as they unsuccessfully tried to answer what it was like to work with such attractive women. "It's weird that we're all so hot," she said.

To which fans, of course, couldn't agree more.
