While most people avoid sunburns at all costs, there are some who welcome them, all in the name of "art." According to a story in the British tabloid The Daily Mirror as well as images posted to social media, there are people who are selectively applying sunscreen in a way that their skin will have a design once they get sunburned. These intentional burns can be dangerous, as 65,647 people were diagnosed with melanomas of the skin in 2011 alone (9,128 of them died from it), according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
