Snake on a Bus: 4-Foot-Long Boa Constrictor Forces SEPTA Bus to Evacuate

Where’s Samuel L. Jackson when you need him? Officials say a snake on the loose forced a SEPTA bus to evacuate Sunday afternoon in Philadelphia.

The Route 52 bus was on 52nd Street and Westminster Avenue around 3 p.m. when a person carrying a 4-foot-long Boa constrictor got on board, officials said.

The snake somehow got loose and the bus was evacuated. Officials were able to safely get the snake off the bus and returned it to the owner. Passengers later got back on and the bus continued its route.

No charges were filed though the incident remains under investigation.
