Diplomats from Iran and six world powers will convene in Geneva in an effort to curtail Iran's nuclear ambitions, NBC News reported. Both parties are meeting on Tuesday and Wednesday to ease concerns that Tehran is developing an atomic bomb. Also on the table is possible relief for Iran from the sanctions that has crippled its economy for over 30 years. While Iran insists that their nuclear activities are peaceful, the six world powers -- U.S., China, Russia, Britain, France, Germany -- are looking for a verifiable end to what they claim is a nuclear weapons program. The meeting will mark the first direct conversations between the U.S. and Iran since 1979. Click through to read more about what's at stake.
