Seven world powers have suspended their preparations for this year's G-8 Summit in Sochi, Russia in protest of Russia's hostile takeover of Crimea, NBC News reported. The seven nations — Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States — released a joint statement in which they condemned "the Russian Federation's clear violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine." The nations also urged Russia to use self-restraint and to address its ongoing security and human rights concerns with the Ukraine.
