Mark Ruffalo Lands On U.S. Terror Watchlist

Even though he's going to be an Avenger, Mark Ruffalo can't quite escape the watchful eye of Big Brother.

The indie movie star recently landed on a U.S. terror advisory watch list after organizing several movie screenings for a new documentary that examines the problems with drilling for natural gas, reports the San Francisco Chronicle.

The Kids Are All Right actor arranged showings of GasLand, a film directed by Josh Fox, that examines how natural gas drilling can contaminate well and surface water and lead to a variety of health issues.

His advocacy apparently raised the suspicion of officials in the Pennsylvania Office of Homeland Security, which then placed him on the watch last.

When interviewed by GQ about the situation, Ruffalo replied that it "(It's) pretty f##king funny."
