Most Militants Withdraw From Iraq Oil Refinery: Sources

ISIS militants have withdrawn most of their forces from Iraq's largest oil refinery, leaving behind a handful of insurgents to battle government forces, a senior Iraqi security official told NBC News on Wednesday. The news comes following a raid by troops and helicopter gunships on the Beiji complex that militants have been trying to take for days but were repelled by security forces. The source denied reports that the refinery - which produces about a third of the country's oil - had ever fallen under the control of Sunni militants.
