Eddie Munster To Wed Cheerleader

Donna McCall of West Chester, Pennsylvania, was haunted by her childhood crush on Butch Patrick, the actor that played the blue-skinned widow-peaked boy on the 60's sitcom, "the Munsters."

At age 55, McCall, a former Philadelphia Eagles cheerleader, reconnected with her teen infatuation, and now she and Patrick, 57, are set to wed.

“My first crush was Butch Patrick,” McCall told  the Johnstown Tribune-Democrat.

McCall used to write Patrick fan letters as a teenager, and she said the two of them had written sporadically over the years.  McCall resumed their correspondence this past spring.

Patrick told Philly.com that he received many fan letters over the years, "but not from a lot of cheerleaders."

In May, the two arranged to meet for the first time at a vampire convention, "Dracula Con II," in Philadelphia.

As if it were scripted to be, the two hit it off, and are now set to be wed.

"I met him for the first time," McCall told the Johnstown Tribune-Democrat, "but I feel like I've known him forever."

Currently, Butch Patrick works as a Halloween party consultant, appearing at birthdays or corporate events with other Munster-costumed characters.

No word yet on whether "Monster Mash" will be played at the reception.
