ABC Gets 1,500 Complaints for Lambert's AMA Performance

"Adrenaline is a crazy, crazy, crazy feeling"

The votes are in on Adam Lambert's AMA performance – all 1,500 of them.

ABC said they received about 1,500 complaints after the ex-“Idol” runner-up’s provocative sexually-themed turn on stage at the American Music Awards on Sunday, according to reports.

The network called the response to Lambert’s routine -- which included kissing his male keyboard player, flipping fans the bird and having a dancer stick his head in his crotch  while performing the title track from his new album “For Your Entertainment” – “moderate,” The Associated Press reported.

Lambert’s crotch-grabbing incident was apparently to hot for the boob tube. ABC cut the scene from its Sunday West Coast Telecast, according to Reuters.

Lambert has refused to apologize for his performance.

"Adrenaline is a crazy, crazy, crazy feeling, he told CNN afterward. “Some of the things I love most about performing is when you're up there and all of the sudden you just have these feelings, this rush that comes over you."
