Ex-Top Cop Bernard Kerik: The Prison System is Flawed

Former NYPD commissioner and convicted felon Bernard Kerik appeared on the "Today" show Monday and continued his criticism of federal sentencing guidelines he called "flawed." Kerik handed host Matt Lauer a nickel in an interview that aired last week to demonstrate the amount of cocaine it takes to send an offender off to prison. On Monday, Kerik said the response to his interview -- which was conducted days after his confinement ended -- has been "major," including a wide range of emotions on social media. Kerik pleaded guilty in November 2009 to eight counts, including tax evasion and laying to the White House.
