“DWTS” Dancer Kym Johnson Sent to Hospital After Injury

Some drama took place at "Dancing With the Stars," but it happened offstage rather than in front of the cameras.

"DWTS" professional dancer Kym Johnson was ambulanced to a L.A. hospital yesterday after she fell and injured her neck, People reported. At the time, Johnson was practicing with her partner, Pittsburgh Steelers football player Hines Ward, for their performance on Monday.

A production statement read, as reported by E! News: “After several tests, she was cleared by the medical staff, though she is bruised, sore and currently wearing a neck brace. Kym plans to continue with Hines Ward in the competition and resume rehearsals as soon as possible."

This is the latest injury that has befallen on a "DWTS" performer; recently Ralph Macchio was affected in his routines because of a cyst in his knee.

As of now, there are four remaining teams in contention: Johnso and Ward, Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas, Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Macchio and Karina Smirnoff.
