A teenage Girl Scout seen in a viral photo confronting a neo-Nazi group in the Czech Republic is receiving threats and is now getting police protection, NBC News and The Associated Press reported.
The Czech Interior Ministry did not give other details about threats against Lucie Myslikova, 16, beyond that they appeared on Facebook.
Myslikova was photographed at a May Day protest in Brno facing off with one of about 150 members of the far-right Workers of Social Justice party. She said Sunday that she was worried by the violent threats and appreciated the move taken by police.
"The most important thing really is that the police took [the threats] seriously from the very first moment," said Pavla Velickinova, a spokeswoman for the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Washington, D.C.
