West Bank Unrest: 970 Injured Since Weekend, Red Crescent Says

Escalating unrest in Israel and the West Bank saw at least 75 people injured in stabbings, shootings and clashes with authorities on Wednesday, officials said.

An Israeli man in his mid-30s shot an 18-year-old Palestinian woman after she stabbed him in Jerusalem's Old City, according to Israeli police and medical officials.

A suspect on a bus in the Israeli city of Kiryat Gat, 30 miles away from Jerusalem, stabbed a soldier and attempted to take his gun, the Israeli Defense Forces said. Security forces chased the suspect toward a nearby building and shot him dead, according to the IDF.

Around 970 Palestinians have been injured in clashes with Israeli security forces since Saturday, according to the Red Crescent. That figure includes 66 people who were shot.
