Teens Allegedly Steal 70 Boxes of Ammo from U.S. Air Marshals

Three teens were arrested after police caught them with boxes of law enforcement ammunition allegedly stolen from a trailer owned by U.S. Air Marshals.

Police said a K-9 officer spotted a vehicle hit a curb on Robinwood Road in Hanover, Md., early Sunday morning. The vehicle then parked on Cresswell Road, but no one got out.

The officer approached and spotted three suspects in the vehicle. When asked what they were doing, the driver, Brandon Michael Shreve, 18, of Linthicum, said he was checking to see if his vehicle was damaged.

Officers saw 70 boxes of law enforcement-use-only ammunition in plain sight. Neither Shreve nor the two juvenile suspects, ages 16 and 15, could give a reason for having the ammo.

A search of the vehicle also revealed bolt cutters, flashlights, gloves and various auto parts. The suspects admitted breaking into a trailer on New Ridge Road on Hanover as well as stealing parts from a Ford Mustang on the same road.

The trailer and ammunition was later determined to be owned by the U.S. Air Marshals.

All suspects were charged and processed.
