President Barack Obama Interviews Writer Marilynne Robinson

President Barack Obama sat down for an interview last month, the Associated Press reported. But instead of being the one to answer the questions, this time he sat in the interviewer’s seat.

Obama interviewed Pulitzer Prize-winning writer Marilynne Robinson about faith, democracy, education and writing, the Associated Press reported.

The president is a longtime fan of the author and her novel “Gilead,” which he read while he visited Iowa as a candidate. Obama said he wanted to have a conversation with “somebody I really like.”
