LL Bean Recalls Infant Pullover Due to Choking Hazard

The company is offering a full refund to customers who return the item

A toddler sweater fleece pullover was recalled by L.L. Bean on Thursday due to a potential choking hazard.

The company advised that toddler pullovers with a manufacture date of Feb. 17 on the label should be immediately returned. The item was sold in L.L. Bean stores nationwide, in the Freeport, Maine-based company's catalog and online.

Company officials say the snaps on the front placket of the sweater can detach, posing a choking hazard to infants.

L.L. Bean is offering a full refund to customers who return the item.

"We regret any inconvenience this has caused; however, your child’s safety is most important to us," said the company on its website.

The clothing item was sold in sizes 2T, 3T and 4T. The pullovers had a blue trim, four snaps and two pockets, and were sold in three colors: deep garnet, heather gray and light lilac.

No injuries have been reported as a result of the sweaters at this time.
