Kitten Found Intentionally Burned in Arlington: Humane Society

Veterinarians said they believe the kitten may have been tortured.

The Humane Society of North Texas is caring for a kitten it says may have been intentionally burned on her face and ears with a lighter or blowtorch.

Blossom, a 5-month-old tabby, was found Sept. 25 in an apartment complex near AT&T Stadium in Arlington.

Veterinarians said Blossom had burns all over her body, but her face and ears were most badly hurt. They believe her injuries are consistent with torture.

The burns were likely caused by a lighter or blowtorch, according to the HSNT.

Blossom will enter the HSNT adoption program once her wounds have healed. For more information on adoptions, visit the Humane Society of North Texas website.

Anyone with information on who may have done this is asked to contact the HSNT Humane Investigations Department at 817-332-4768 ext. 113.
