Former Toronto Mayor Rob Ford Reveals He Has New Tumor

Former Toronto mayor Rob Ford announced Wednesday that a new tumor has been found on his bladder, NBC News reported.

Tests are underway to determine if the tumor is malignant, a spokesman said.

"Councillor Ford and his family wish to extend their continued gratitude for the thoughts, prayers, and support that they have received during this difficult time," his office said in a statement.

Treatment is planned; he’s already undergone radiation, chemotherapy and surgery to remove a tumor.

Ford admitted to smoking crack and to being drunk while on the job. He dropped out of the race and ran for City Council - and won a seat - when he fell ill.
