Death Toll From Tianjin Blasts Rises to 112

Rescuers pulled more bodies from a massive blast site in the Chinese port of Tianjin, pushing the death toll to 112 on Sunday, NBC News reported.

State media agency Xinhua reported that 95 people remain missing, including 85 firefighters. More than 770 people remained hospitalized.

A series of powerful explosions erupted from a warehouse for hazardous chemicals at around 11:30 p.m. local time (11:30 a.m. ET) Wednesday. The blasts lit up the night sky with a huge fireball, and the shockwave of the explosions shattered windows in buildings more than a mile away.

Two people have been found alive so far, authorities said. A 19-year-old firefighter, Zhou Ti, was found alive Friday morning, and rescuers found an additional survivor in Saturday.
