One of China’s most famous celebrities had her face examined by a doctor Thursday to ascertain whether she had undergone plastic surgery, NBC News reported.
The examination came after Angelababy, the stage name for 26-year old actress and model Yeung Wing, sued a Beijing beauty clinic for $80,000 after it penned an article alleging that she had gone under the knife.
After a battery of X-rays and a physical examination by a plastic surgeon, it was determined that Angelababy did not have surgery.
Debate sprung up on China’s twitter-like service, Weibo, from those for and against the actress.
The Beijing court has yet to officially rule on the defamation case.
