California Deputy on Run After Arrest Is Back in Custody

Police have a California sheriff’s deputy in custody after he escaped his handcuffs and a patrol car following his arrest on Tuesday, NBC News reports.

Kern County sheriff’s office released video that showed Tucker escape from the patrol car and slowly walk as two officers filled out paperwork outside the cruiser.

This is the third time Edward Gordon Tucker, 44, was arrested in less than a week. He was arrested Saturday after allegedly pointing a firearm at a group of young girls while under he influence, Sheriff Donny Youngblood said.

He was booked, then released on bail and arrested again after a friend called asking police to check in on him. Deputies allegedly found guns and methamphetamine in his car, Youngblood said.
