$35 Million Texas Mansion is Back on the Market

A 36,000-square-foot North Texas mansion featuring dozens of rooms — including nearly seven bathrooms and a two-story woman's closet — is back on the market for $35 million.

Champ d'Or Mansion in the small Denton County town of Hickory Creek most recently sold in March 2012 after 433 auction inquiries and over 500 showings. At the time, the real estate management company did not release the purchasing price nor the name of the buyer because of a contractual agreement.

But now it's back on the market for a cool $35 million and includes almost 40 acres of property, a media room, exercise room, bowling alley, wine cellar, multiple kitchens, a sauna and steam room, a tennis court, game room, indoor AND outdoor pools, plus a tea room modeled after New York's Tavern on the Green.

The French-inspired château was modeled after one built by the finance minister under Louis XIV. Even the name is opulent — Champ d'Or means "field of gold" in French.
