Lincoln Park Zoo's highly-anticipated holiday tradition will soon return to Chicago.

The popular ZooLights display will illuminate the zoo beginning Nov. 23, filling the space with more than 2.5 million lights and hundreds of displays, officials announced.

The free event will turn the zoo into a winter wonderland for 35 nights, featuring visits from Santa, ice sculptors, strolling carolers and treats, according to the zoo.

The event will run from 4:30-9 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights through Dec. 2. It will become a nightly event on Dec. 7, continuing through Jan. 6, except Dec. 24-25.
