Chicago Bears tight end Zach Miller was pushed into a bigger role on Sunday afternoon thanks to suspensions and injuries in the team's receiving corps, but what started out as a happy day quickly turned sour for the offensive weapon.

After making a long touchdown catch and hauling in a lengthy reception in the first half of the Bears' game against the New York Giants, Miller was forced out of the game late in the half with a foot injury.

As the third quarter got underway, Miller was ruled out for the remainder of the game, the Bears announced to the media at MetLife Stadium.

That wasn't the end of the road in terms of Bears injuries either. In the third quarter of the game, offensive lineman Josh Sitton went down with an apparent ankle injury, and after he was examined on the sideline, he was carted off the field and ruled out for the remainder of the contest.

Sitton's injury comes at an awful time for the Bears, as they were already without two starting linemen for the game. Kyle Long was just placed on injured reserve this week, and Bobby Massie was also out for Sunday's game as he continues to deal with a concussion.

Before he was injured, Miller was the Bears' top receiver in the game, hauling in three catches for 61 yards and a touchdown against the Giants.

With Miller's absence, the Bears' offense is now down two of its best weapons, as wide receiver Alshon Jeffery is serving the first game of a four-game suspension for performance enhancing drugs. Wide receivers Marquess Wilson and Eddie Royal are also hobbled with injuries, as both were questionable going into the game.

Cre'Von LeBlanc was also ruled out for the rest of the game with a concussion, according to the Bears. He suffered the injury on a fourth down play as he was unable to bring down Rashad Jennings on a pass near the first down marker.
