A video and photo circulating on Twitter early Thursday morning appear to show a member of the Cubs World Series crowd pushing a traffic light off its pole and into the street in Wrigleyville.

Police did not immediately respond to request for comment and it wasn't clear if anyone was arrested or charged.

But a photo shows an officer carrying an apparently dislodged traffic light through the crowded streets of Wrigleyville.

"We will work to encourage safe celebration but will remain intolerant to destructive or criminal activity [in Wrigleyville]," Antohony Guglielmi, a department spokesman said in an email Wednesday evening.

A large police presence was visible outside Wrigley Field following the Cubs victory as barricades were erected in the jam-packed North Side neighborhood.

Bus routes, train platforms and streets in the area were all closed for a portion of the night.
