Fifteen musical, light-up seesaws arrive March 10 in Polk Bros Park at the entrance of Navy Pier. They will be on hand through May 21. Good news: They're not just for kids. Navy Pier hopes the addition inspires "fun and imaginative play for kids and adults, alike."

The seesaws, part of a public art installation called Impulse, use special LED lighting and sound that's activated when in motion.

"When in use, the seesaws create a dynamic, ever-changing field of light and sound – a key element of the design," Navy Pier reps say.

"Through repetition, rhythm and syncopation, the art work serves as a largescale urban instrument, intended to activate the surrounding public space and engage participants," Navy Pier says..
