A 16-year-old girl died Saturday, 24 hours after being shot while riding in a van on the South Side with several people police believe to be gang members.
Racheal Beauchamp, of the 3000 South Keeley Avenue, was pronounced dead at Mt. Sinai Hospital at 1:45 a.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.
The shooting happened at about 11:15 p.m. Thursday night. Police are still investigating the crime.
