Police are looking for a man who sexually assaulted a woman who was with her infant child on the city's West Side last week.
According to police, at approximately 3:45 a.m. on Sunday, March 27, a 25-year-old woman parked her car in the 200 block of N Kenneth in the West Garfield Park neighborhood.
When she was getting out of her car with her infant child, an unknown offender approached on foot, displayed a handgun, and ordered her back into her vehicle, according to police.
The man then got into the driver's seat of the car and drove off with the woman and her baby. The offender then proceeded to sexually assault the victim before fleeing from the car around Congress and Kolmar.
The man is described as a black man between the ages of 40 and 50. He stands between 5’9’’ and has facial hair. Police say he was wearing blue jeans, a black skull cap, a hooded sweatshirt, and a black jacket with a white logo on the rear right shoulder, possibly North Face.
Anyone with information about this incident, is asked to call the Area North Detective Bureau at (312) 744-8261.
