Woman Shows Up Drunk at Sixth DUI Hearing

Police revoked Sandra Uher's bail and transported her to a Cook County Jail hospital

A woman showed up for her sixth DUI hearing Thursday intoxicated, prompting police to revoke her bail.

Sandra Uher, 54, of Elgin was taken to Cermak Hospital, which is part of the Cook County Jail, according to the Daily Herald.

Uher's last DUI charge was in March, when she ran a stop sign at the corner of Shales Parkway and Summit Street in Elgin and crashed into another car. Police said her blood alcohol limit was nearly four times the legal limit, measuring at .30.

After that conviction, Uher was released from jail after posting $10,000 of her $100,000 bond. But after her intoxicated court appearance, she may not have the same option.

This latest incident follows a string of DUI charges between 1997 and 2009. Uher faces six to 30 years in prison if convicted.
