A woman was shot while inside a taxi parked in an alley in the Wicker Park neighborhood on the North Side early Sunday morning.
The 35-year-old was in an alley in the 1200 block of North Damen at about 2:30 a.m. when shots rang out. The victim told police she heard shots while inside the taxi and then noticed she had been hit in the arm, according to police news affairs.
The woman was taken to Presence Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center, where her condition stabilized, police said.
Additional details were not immediately known.
