A woman was shot and killed in a suburban gym parking lot after an altercation Sunday morning, authorities said.
The incident occurred just after midnight at the L.A. Fitness in the 17300 block of Torrance Avenue in Lansing, detectives said in a statement. The unidentified woman was reportedly involved in an altercation in the parking lot, and she was shot once.
A friend of the victim took her to an area hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
Police have not made any arrests in the case, and the investigation is still ongoing.
