A 31-year-old woman was fatally shot in a Wisconsin tavern Saturday and police are searching for a suspect who may be in Chicago.

The shooting took place around 1:45 a.m. Saturday in a tavern in Kenosha in the 2400 block of 52nd Street.

Police said a man entered a tavern with a pistol and began shooting, striking a 31-year-old woman from Gurnee, Illinois.

The woman was transported to Kenosha Hospital and Medical Center where she was later pronounced dead.

The suspect was described as a black male in his 20s, roughly 6 feet tall with medium build.

According to Captain Eric Larsen with the Kenosha Police Department, a temporary felony warrant was issued for the arrest of a suspect identified as M.L. Dale in connection with the homicide.

Anyone with information about Dale or the shooting is being asked to call (262) 605-5203.

"Dale is to be considered armed and dangerous," Larsen said. "The public should not attempt to apprehend him."
