Wintry weather has caused the cancellation of over 300 flights at Chicago’s O’Hare Airport.

As of midnight, just under 360 flights had been cancelled at the airport, and flights were delayed by an average of just under 40 minutes, according to the Chicago Department of Aviation.

Midway Airport managed to escape mostly unscathed despite the weather, with only two flight cancellations and an average delay of under 15 minutes, according to the department.

According to the National Weather Service, O’Hare received just under two inches of snow as wintry weather moved through the Chicago-area. Windy conditions also played a factor in the flight cancellations.

Unfortunately for travellers, Monday could be a challenging day as well, with three to six inches of snow in the forecast for the Chicago-area. A Winter Weather Advisory has already been issued, and will go into effect at noon Monday and will last through the evening rush hour.
