A 20-year-old man died Tuesday after falling from a third-floor window at a party in Wrigleyville, police said.
Daniel McGovern, 20, fell from a building on the 3500 block of North Wilton Avenue at about 2 a.m. Authorities said the fall appeared to be an accident.
McGovern, of the 200 block of Gatesby Road in Riverside, was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center where he was in criticial condition before being pronounced dead at 9:10 a.m., the Chicago Sun-Times reported.
An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday, according to the publication.
Police officers said there was a party with college-aged people at the home at the time of the fall.
Authorities had the scene cleared by 4 a.m., and the party's attendees left without offering comment about what happened.
The 21-year-old female resident was arrested and charged with hosting a party at which underage drinking was taking place.
