The last time the Chicago Bears played at Soldier Field, they braved absurdly cold conditions in knocking off the Dallas Cowboys in easy fashion.
On Sunday, the team across the field from them will be different, but the weather will be the same as high winds and cold temperatures will be the order of the day along the lakefront.
When the game kicks off at 3:25pm, the Bears and Packers will be facing air temperatures of around 25 degrees, but that will be the least of their worries. The wind chill at kickoff will be just under 10 degrees, and is going to fall throughout the game as winds of 25 mph or more are going to be sweeping through the stadium.
The windy conditions could have a big impact both on the quarterbacks from the teams, as Aaron Rodgers and Jay Cutler are both guys who like to air the ball out on deep throws down the field. Rodgers especially could be vulnerable in these types of conditions, as he is coming back after a long layoff and could experience issues with his touch and timing thanks to the combination of cold and wind.
Special teams could also be a huge factor in this game with the weather forecasted, as Robbie Gould and Mason Crosby will have to deal with the swirling wind as they attempt to kick field goals and keep kick-offs on the field.
By the time the game wraps up around 6:30 p.m., the wind chill will be down to just 5 degrees.
